Happy Anniversary!

On this day, two years ago, a Texas-sized storm blew in. Lightning. Wind. Thunder. The whole nine yards. It didn’t seem like it would let up. All our our hanging paper lanterns were blowing furiously in the wind. Despite all of this, I never felt calmer or more at peace.

Just before I walked down the aisle, a huge gust of wind blew over our large vases of flowers and in the distance, lightning touched down. Then the music started, and l held back tears as I walked towards Sly. As we said our vows, the sun came out and a double rainbow appeared.

We spent the rest of the night dancing under a harvest moon and roasting marshmallows by the campfire with friends and family.

It was magical.
