Saturday brunch: smoked salmon, poached eggs, capers, onions, lemon, avocado on a bed of sliced cukes #nofilter

To repent for the exorbitant amount of calories consumed over the holidays , we have since gone the unprocessed-low-carb-no-sugar route. Which means a delicious bagel with cream cheese to accompany our brunch coffee was out of the question. Instead I made what I’m calling “everything but the bagel” — sliced cukes layered with smoked Alaskan salmon, fresh squeezed lemon juice, sliced onions, chopped avocado halves, poached eggs, capers and freshly ground pepper.
